An easy DIY gift idea for teachers:
We’ve made it to summer…almost. I’ve got an EASY and cheap “happy” for you to make for your student’s teachers. Emphasis on easy. I need simple right now! Why is it that towards the end of the year everything seems just harder? Lunch boxes left in the car, shoes don’t have their matches, and I’ve lost my sanity. You guys, I am only talking about preschool. Ha! I can’t imagine what it’s like for you mamas with multiple kids in school. I am hoping the fact that my kids will be slightly more independent will help out!
I wanted to give them something to say “thank you” for loving my boy all year long and listening to all his ideas and stories. He’s been blessed with some pretty awesome teachers. However, I’d already brought them Starbucks the week before and I had an idea that they might be getting a lot of sweets. I know that tons of cookies would wreck my eating plan, so I wanted to give them a gift that wasn’t food.
I found these adorable drink decanters in the dollar section (read $3) at Target and then used Washi Tape (that I had at home) to attach some healthier lemonade and voila! It was done. I wrote a nice thank you note and had my son color on it! I also had him tell me what he loved about his teacher. Pretty easy, right?
