Those of you who have food allergies know that most events call for having to figure out an allergen-safe treat alternative. That can get exhausting! Especially if you have little kids, because they just don’t understand why they can’t have it. That’s why I love coming up with really special things that don’t involve food at all!
Our new favorite things to do is to go to shows at the Orpheum in Memphis. It’s full of character and as my son said last night, “it’s fancier than anything!” I love the fact that my kids get such a wonderful cultural experience when we go to shows at the Orpheum.
Last night we enjoyed the Rhythmic Circus Red and Green Show and it was fantastic. The Rhythmic Circus had the whole crowd tapping, clapping, and even trying to beatbox. Their creativity combined with humor had everyone laughing. The tap dancers were true athletes and the seven piece funk band didn’t disappoint. From classics Holiday songs to the Chipmunk’s Christmas Song, they had something for everyone there. I can’t think of the last time my son laughed so hard!
If they come to Memphis next year, we plan on seeing them again! It was such a great experience.
I loved working with the Orpheum to create this post and received free tickets in return for the post; however all opinions (as always) are 100% my own!
